We walked the Orchard this morning and found we are ahead of schedule! Our Gala will be ready a couple days early so we are excited to announce we have moved the start of the 2026 Season up a couple days. We will open for the year on Saturday, August 15!
Gala are the perfect size for a lunchbox for back to school lunches. They are sweet and crisp and they are outstanding for eating, and also make great applesauce and pies.
Smoothies have also popped up and will be ready on Saturday. Smoothies are an early ripening Golden Delicious. They have all the fun qualities of a Golden Delicious. Sweet, crunchy, great for applesauce and pies. They just pop up early so we don’t have to wait until the end of September to start enjoying them.
Cucumbers, Zucchini and Peppers are plentiful, and more and more tomatoes are ripening every day.
Flowers are looking lovely and available for u-pick as well as beautiful bouquets at the stand on weekends.
Pumpkins, Watermelon and the Sunflower Maze should be ready in about two weeks.
